Review of the installation, effort estimation, fixed-price proposal. Simple corporate websites have different complexity costs than commerce shops with integrations.

Upgrade on staging, manual tests, acceptance by your team. Guaranteed time window, ongoing content maintenance on the old system.

Deployment to production. Optional: transition to the arocom Hosting & Operations package for ongoing maintenance and security updates.

Drupal 10 to 11

The simplest upgrade path. Drupal 11 is not a reinvention — the upgrade process follows the proven pattern since Drupal 8. Effort is well calculable, fixed-price proposals are standard.

Drupal 9 to 11

Drupal 9 no longer receives security updates (end of life: November 2023). The upgrade to version 11 is urgent. The process is identical to 10 to 11, but requires additional preparation steps.

Drupal 8 to 11

If you skipped the upgrade to 9 and 10, you can upgrade directly to 11. The preparation measures are more extensive, but the process is proven and calculable.

Drupal 7 to 11

The most extensive upgrade path. Drupal 7 is based on a different architecture — this is a migration, not a simple upgrade. A Platform Check (audit) clarifies the effort and the best strategy upfront.

Can I continue editing content during the upgrade?

Yes. Content editing on the existing system continues during the upgrade process. Code development should be paused until completion.

What does a Drupal upgrade cost?

arocom offers upgrades at a fixed price. Costs depend on complexity — a Platform Check (audit) starting at EUR 2,500 plus VAT clarifies the exact effort upfront. The amount is credited toward the follow-up project.

Do I have to switch to arocom for the upgrade?

No. arocom performs the upgrade and hands over the installation — to your team or your existing agency. Optionally, arocom then offers Hosting & Operations as a package.

What happens if I continue with Drupal 9 or 10?

Drupal 9 no longer receives security updates — continued operation is a risk. Drupal 10 is supported until the end of 2026. After that, the same risks apply. A timely upgrade is recommended.
