Drupal Platform Check — Is your platform future-ready?
Last updated: March 2026 · Reading time: 12 minutes
Your Drupal website is running. But is it running well? And is it ready for what comes next?
65% of all search queries end without a click (Bain/Dynata, BrightEdge, 2025-2026). AI systems only cite sources they understand. At the same time, Drupal installations age: custom modules without documentation, security updates waiting for months, an architecture that made sense in 2018 but slows you down in 2026.
The Drupal Platform Check (Audit) gives you clarity. Not as a sales pitch, but as an independent analysis with a concrete report. Afterward, you know what is urgent, what can wait, and what you can skip entirely.
What the Platform Check examines
No checklist to tick off, but a structured analysis by Drupal architects with over 160 Drupal projects of experience since 2012.
Three tiers, one principle: diagnosis before therapy
Each tier delivers a report, not a sales presentation. The invested amount is fully credited toward a follow-up project — you only pay for the Platform Check if you do not continue working with us.
The process in 4 steps
Duration: Focus Check 1-2 weeks, Standard Check 2-3 weeks, Deep Dive 3-4 weeks after access is granted.
What you get
The report
- Status indicator per audit area (green/yellow/red)
- Concrete issues with explanations
- Prioritized recommendations
- Effort estimate per measure (hours + EUR)
- Executive summary for your decision-makers
- Roadmap proposal (Standard + Deep Dive)
What you do NOT get
- No sales pitch disguised as an audit
- No auto-generated scanner reports
- No recommendation to rebuild everything (if not necessary)
- No obligation to use arocom for implementation
And if the result is: "Everything is fine"?
Then we say that. It happens that an installation is solid and the Platform Check confirms you are on the right track. That too is a result worth having — especially when decision-makers need an independent assessment.
When a Platform Check makes sense
Typical triggers
- You are considering switching agencies
- Your website is getting slower and you do not know why
- A Drupal upgrade is due (7 to 11, 8 to 11, 9 to 11)
- You inherited the website and do not know the code
- Security concerns after an incident
- Decision-makers require an independent assessment
Typical clients
- Marketing leads who want to know if budget is well invested
- IT project managers who need a second opinion on architecture
- Executives facing an investment decision
- Agencies taking over a client installation
Why arocom for your Platform Check?
Since 2012, arocom has focused on Drupal. Over 160 Drupal projects — from an NGO with 11,000 employees to an international architecture firm. Own contrib modules, active in the Drupal community, sponsor of international Drupal events in Stuttgart.
This knowledge flows into every Platform Check. We recognize not just what is broken, but why it was built that way — and whether it was a reasonable decision then that no longer holds today.
Independence matters to us. If the result is "Stay with your current agency," we say that. The Platform Check is a report, not an acquisition tool.
What exactly is the Drupal Platform Check?
The Drupal Platform Check is an independent, structured analysis of your Drupal installation. It reviews code quality, architecture, performance, security, and GEO readiness and delivers a report with prioritized recommendations.
Why does an audit cost money?
Free audits deliver sales pitches, not reports. Our Platform Check is a real analysis by Drupal architects with over 160 Drupal projects of experience. The investment is fully credited toward a follow-up project.
What does 'credited toward follow-up project' mean?
If you continue working with arocom after the Platform Check, the amount paid is fully credited toward the follow-up project. You only pay for the Platform Check if you do not work with us afterward.
Do you need access to our server?
For the code review, we need access to the repository. Server access is optional but enables deeper analysis of configuration and performance. We sign an NDA before access is granted.
How long does the Platform Check take?
Focus Check: 1-2 weeks. Standard Check: 2-3 weeks. Deep Dive: 3-4 weeks. Each after access is granted. The preliminary discussion takes place within 4 hours of your inquiry.
Can we have the results implemented by a different agency?
Yes. The report belongs to you and is written so that any qualified Drupal agency can implement the recommendations. There is no obligation to arocom.
What is the difference between the Platform Check and the free quick check?
The quick check on our website is a 5-question self-assessment for an initial estimation. The Platform Check is a professional analysis by Drupal architects with access to your code and installation.
Do you offer the Platform Check as white label?
Yes. For agencies that want to offer their clients a Drupal audit, we create the Platform Check under your branding. Details on our partner page.
Which Drupal versions are reviewed?
We review installations from Drupal 7 onward. For older versions (7, 8, 9), the Platform Check automatically includes a migration assessment to the current version.
What happens if the Platform Check finds that our installation is fine?
Then we say that. It is not our goal to create work. If your installation is solid, you get a confirmation — and recommendations on how to maintain the quality.
